Cindy Ketcherside
Executive Director/CEO

Cindy joins the notMYkid team as the Executive Director/CEO, arming notMYkid with valuable business assets and insights. As Executive Director/CEO she will oversee all notMYkid programs and day to day activities.

Cindy Ketcherside is an Arizona native and received her Bachelor of Science in Juvenile Justice with a minor in Counseling from Arizona State University in 1980.  She worked as an Inside and Outside Probation Officer for Maricopa County Juvenile Justice Program but spent the majority of her career in the auto, residential and home glass industry.  Cindy became President and CEO of her family owned business, JC’S Glass, in 1992 and grew the business to over 100 employees before selling it in 2005.

Recently acknowledged as one of the top ten most influential leaders in the auto glass industry over the past decade, she established the National Auto Glass Cooperative, instituted a national pricing structure for the auto glass industry and expertly managed a national committee of 30 industry professionals to create and implement The Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard which is acclaimed by individuals such as Ralph Nadar.

Cindy has also been dedicated to her community by serving on the Board of Directors and President of the Xavier College Prep High School Foundation, on the Board of Directors for LIFE TEEN, an international Youth Ministry program and on the Fiesta Bowl Committee for over 23 years. She is past Chair of the Board for the Catholic Community Foundation, served on the Board of Directors the Young Presidents Organization and is currently on the Board of Directors for The Center for Humane Living.  Cindy was chosen as a member of Phoenix Valley Leadership Class XV, Class V of the FBI Citizen’s Academy and honored as the Young Alumnae of the Year for ASU.

In her spare time you can find Cindy gardening, golfing with her husband and playing with her grandchildren.

Ric Borom, M.Ed.
Director of Educational Services

Ric Borom brings a diverse resume with him to notMYkid, from working with the mentally ill and running a residential treatment center, to serving search warrants and talking barricaded subjects out of buildings, then eventually running a Charter High school for at-risk teens.

Mr. Borom ran the residential component of The New Foundation from 1992 through 1996, where he supervised and trained staff to assist adolescents in a 24-hour residential treatment setting.  He became a police officer in Gilbert in June, 1996, and in his eight years there he was officer of the year in 2002, was a School Resource Officer over his final five years, and was the Team Leader of the Hostage Negotiations section of the SWAT team over his final six years.  Mr. Borom was a lead trainer in the areas of Active Shooter Response, Hostage Negotiations, Mobile Field Force (riot control), Dealing with the Mentally Ill, Crisis De-escalation, and many more.  He was very active within Highland and Gilbert High Schools, meeting daily with Administrators, Parents and Students. 

Mr. Borom is a freelance writer for the Arizona Republic, authoring articles on subjects ranging from the increase in the use of heroin among teens to the use of force among police officers. Mr. Borom earned his Master's in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2002, and in May, 2004, he left the police department to take a position as a Principal with Pinnacle Education.  He utilized his skills and love of training to create a safe, structured environment where students enjoyed coming to school.  Mr. Borom trained the staff at all of Pinnacle's schools in several disciplines, including crisis de-escalation, interview and interrogation, drug recognition and limit setting, and crisis response. 

It is with high expectations and high energy that Ric takes the reigns as the Director of Educational Services at notMYkid.

Jeannie Burts
Office Manager

Jeannie serves as the Office Manager of notMYkid. Recently retired from the public school system she brings a wealth of experience from her service as executive assistant to the CEO/superintendent of two prominent Arizona school districts. Jeannie’s strong organizational and interpersonal skills are an asset to the demands of the company’s growth and development throughout Arizona and anticipated expansion nationwide. 

As office manager, Jeannie is a key person in the organizational functions of notMYkid. She directs the day to day administrative operations of the office, including human resources, payroll, purchasing, and accounting functions. She plays an important role in communicating with individuals at every level of the organization.

Jeannie grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where she completed her education with an emphasis in business courses. While living in California she held an accounting position at a leading company in the Silicon Valley. She also served in a key position at a foremost up and coming private school in San Jose for many years. She and her family moved to the Midwest for a short time in the early 70s and also lived in Kailua, Hawaii for one year. She relocated to the Phoenix area with her family in the late 1980s. Jeannie enjoys using her talents as a keyboard artist and keeps active with her family.  

Blair Crawford
Manager of  Marketing  and Public Relations

Blair Crawford serves as the Marketing and Public Relations at notMYkid.  She assists the Senior Directors of Education and Marketing with all of notMYkid's fund raising, marketing, media and public relations. Blair supports notMYkid’s strategic communication efforts by acting as the in-house graphic designer and social media expert. She also oversees the Teen Advisory Board where she strives to give teens a voice and help them disseminate awareness to their communities about youth behavioral health issues and how they are affecting them in their everyday lives.

Blair graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism in May 2009. As a strategic communication student, she traveled the world gaining work and educational experience in public relations. Blair served as a media intern at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics in China where she assisted international journalists in statistical gathering at the media center for the Badaling Road Cycling Course. Blair's professional experience also includes work with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to create and execute an anti-obesity campaign for the sate. As a special events intern, she helped raise more than $400,000 for notMYkid, through publicity and fundraising efforts. In August 2007, Blair completed a four-month public relations internship at the Lavidge Company in Phoenix. 

Blair is a member of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity where she was vice president of membership. She ran for the University of Missouri Track and Field team and served on the University of Missouri Tiger Squad, where she assisted in publicity efforts for the school’s baseball and softball teams.

Josh Gosdin

Josh Gosdin serves as an Educational Service Account Manager at notMYkid.  As an Educational Service Account Manager, Josh spends much of his time visiting schools and schools districts developing relationships for notMYkid.  Josh works closely with superintendents, principals, counselors and student resource officers in Arizona and neighboring states, trying to implement notMYkid as the premier prevention program for middle and high school students.   Josh’s goal is to help notMYkid continue educating and raising awareness about the effects and consequences that destructive youth behaviors have on our students and our communities, by getting our prevention program in to as many schools and school districts as possible.

Before joining notMYkid Josh prepared for his role at notMYkid working in a similar position for an online educational Curriculum company.  Josh grew up in Albuquerque, Nm. and is a proud graduate from the University of New Mexico were he studied Business.  In his spare time Josh likes to watch and follow a variety of sports, and play a game of golf whenever possible.  Josh also has a passion for food, culture, and travel and hopes to visit many places around the world.

Gina Hassett

As an Education Service Account Manager, Gina’s goal is to develop the relationships needed to implement notMYkid in Middle and High schools around the Valley. Her focus is on private schools, where she hopes to raise awareness of the consequences of destructive youth behaviors.  By partnering with these schools, Gina hopes to educate their faculty, parents and teens about our prevention program and how it can truly make a difference in their school and community.   

Having two teenagers herself, Gina understands the importance of notMYkid. Gina is a native of Arizona, graduating from the University of Arizona, with a BS degree in Marketing.  After graduation, Gina began her career in sales and marketing for Dun and Bradstreet. After three years with Dun and Bradstreet, she continued her sales career with Pratt Pharmaceuticals, a division of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. After seven years at Pratt, Gina took some time off to raise her family.  During that time, she volunteered at numerous fundraising and community building events, keeping her active in the community and still close to her family.  If she is not spending time with her family and friends, you can usually find her hiking one of the many great trails in Phoenix.

Rosie Martinez
Director of Community Relations

Rosie Martinezserves as Director of Community Relations at notMYkid.  As the Director of Community Relations, Rosie oversees all Community partnerships, involvement and outreach. Rosie strives to bringing and improving community awareness about youth behavioral health issues within our communities.

Before joining notMYkid, Rosie worked as Community Relations Manager for CBS5/KPHO. Prior to TV, she was in the promotions and marketing department for KMLE Country 108 for more than 10 years.  Rosie has worked with valley media veterans such Tim and Willy, Kent Dana and Dave Pratt. In Rosie's spare time, you can find herwalking her dog, Tiffany, and spending time with her family and friends

Jill Woods
Senior Director of Development and Marketing

Jill Woods serves as the Senior Director of Development and Marketing at notMYkid.  She oversees all of notMYkid's marketing and the strategic planning and organization of all educational and fund raising events, helping to assure continued program support and to facilitate improved community awareness about youth behavioral health issues within the community.  

Ms. Woods grew up in Texas before settling in the Valley.  She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration.  She has over 10 years in the media industry, having held positions as the Vice President of Group W Radio Sales in Dallas as well as experience as Sales Manager of KHMX-FM in Houston, TX.  Over the past 15 years, Ms. Woods has been active with her family and within the community.  She maintains an active presence with local and National organizations, such as Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The Emily Center, Helping Hands for the Homeless, Interfaith Hospitality Network, National Charity League and St. Barnabus on the Desert Episcopal Church.  We are excited to have the opportunity to have Ms. Woods as part of our team!

Debbie Moak
Founder

Debbie Moak founded notMYkid, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about prevalent youth and adolescent mental and behavioral health issues, in April of 2000.

Ms. Moak is committed to instilling a proactive approach to teen and parenting issues by raising awareness through educational programs. She is a much sought after speaker who has traveled internationally to speak to thousands of teens and parents about her personal experience with substance abuse in her own family as well as others she has reached through notMykid, Inc. Her presentations emphasize her optimism about the relationship between parent and child and the impact all parents can have in turning around substance abuse in their own family through early intervention.

Prior to her involvement with notMykid, Inc., Ms. Moak was a founding member of the Thomas J. Pappas School for homeless children Foundation and has been actively involved with Young Life Organization for many years.

As a retired elementary school teacher, Ms. Moak cites raising her own two children as one of her greatest privileges and greatest challenges. She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and holds a dual certificate in Education. She taught elementary education for 10 years in Kentucky, Ohio and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Ms. Moak resides in Paradise Valley, Arizona  with her husband Steve. They have two grown sons, Steve who is 29 and Dan who is 25. Her hobbies include snow skiing, running, cycling and scuba diving.  

Steve Moak
Founder   

Steve began his career, while in college with Duro Paper Bag, in operations. Mr. Moak held positions with increasing responsibility with Avon Products, NCR Corp., and America Express/Directel.

In 1989 Mr. Moak created ProMark One, a company that managed call centers for expanding bank and telecommunications companies. Under Mr. Moak’s leadership ProMark One expanded to a nationwide company.

In recognition of his management expertise, and the growth of ProMark One, Mr. Moak was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award by Ernst and Young, in 1991. From 1993 until 1997, ProMark One was recognized as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies by Inc. Magazine.

In 1996, Mr. Moak sold ProMark One and in 1999 became chairman of the founding team of Synergy Solutions, a provider of call center solutions for large fortune 500 companies that now spans four states and employees over 1000.

In 2000, he and his wife Debbie founded notMyKid, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about prevalent youth and adolescent mental and behavioral health issues. Mr. Moak has traveled internationally speaking to parents and teens about his family’s story of substance abuse in order to raise aware of drug prevention.

In 2004, Mr. Moak purchased First Check, a California based home drug test company. This purchase decision was motivated by both his personal experience with drug testing his own child and from seeing other parents’ positive response and interest when speaking of his experiences. Mr. Moak saw the opportunity for home drug tests to be used as a prevention tool and a way he could further contribute to drug prevention efforts nationally. First Check was sold to Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc., which has committed to continue First Check’s support of Project 7th Grade and its efforts to reduce drug use among today’s youth.

Mr. Moak is also a founding member of Social Venture Partners, an organization committed to developing philanthropy and volunteerism to achieve positive social change in Maricopa County.  He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1977 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

In 2006, Mr. Moak was appointed to the White House Advisory Commission on Drug-Free Communities Program.  The commission advises the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), which in conjunction with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) directs the Drug-Free Communities Support Program. Mr Moak is also a member of the Dorrance Family Foundation Board as well as the United Way Foundation Board.

Mr. Moak and his wife Debbie reside in Paradise Valley. They have two sons ages 29 and 26. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, swimming, skiing and traveling. 

Dr. Mark Rohde
Founder 

Dr. Rohde graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State, did graduate work at ASU, University of Oxford (England), & the University of Northern Colorado, and was a Mott Foundation Fellow.  He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Union Graduate School / Union Institute and additionally completed three years of training with the Post-Graduate Institute for Family Therapy.  He most often works with children, adolescents & families and frequently employs a combination of individual, family and group psychotherapy. 

Mark holds Diplomate status with the American Board of Assessment Psychology and has specialty certification in addictions treatment from the American College of Professional Psychology.  He is a former teacher who has held administrative positions at a private school, an addictions treatment center, a community mental health center, and a residential treatment program.  Mark has been recognized for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology by the Arizona Psychological Association. He has an interest in computer applications in psychology and is a founder of notMYkid.  Mark is on the faculty of the Institute for Creative Change.
