Classic Design Concepts to Sell Challenger for notMYkid

Classic Design Concepts, a leader in the aftermarket auto performance parts industry, will auction at No Reserve a one-off Group 2 edition Dodge Challenger and matching Charvel® Guitar at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale on Jan. 21, 2010.  The spectacular electric guitar, which was built by the hot rod shop of guitars, and the graphic white and black current model Group 2 Challenger were concept units for a proposed limited production run.

All proceeds from the auction benefit notMYkid.

The CDC Group 2 Challenger concept (Lot #710.1) showcases the Chrysler Design Award-winning packages created by the muscle car company, which includes a wide body conversion inspired by the legendary Group 2 of SCCA Trans Am racing.  The 5.7-liter Hemi is equipped with a Pro Charger supercharger that bumps the horsepower to 500+, while the Pypes exhaust handles the breathing chores.  The CDC Challenger is documented as being the first 5.7 RT Challenger fitted with a Pro Charger.  A Baer six-piston brake package with 14” rotors stops the mighty beast.  The package includes a fully functional Shaker hood, state-of-the-art lightweight front fenders and billboard rear-quarter flairs.  USW Forged Wheels and Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires ensure that all four corners are firmly planted.  A KW Variant I Coil-Over Suspension allows adjustable ride height.
