Steve & Debbie Moak
Steve and Debbie’s journey began in 1999 when they witnessed the devastating impact of substance use in their own family and community. Married for over 48 years, they turned personal pain into purpose by founding notMYkid—empowering parents and teens with the education, prevention, and proactive solutions needed to navigate adolescence.
Steve's Story
After witnessing the devastating effects of substance use firsthand, Steve transformed his personal pain into purpose. With a longstanding commitment to youth and families, his philanthropic journey includes founding Social Venture Partners, serving on the United Way board, and engaging with Young Life. Steve’s dedication has forged powerful community partnerships that amplify notMYkid’s mission, establishing a lasting legacy of service and advocacy.
Debbie’s Story
A Northern Kentucky University graduate with certifications in Education and Special Education, Debbie spent 10 years as an elementary school teacher. She calls notMYkid her “best classroom,” connecting with families facing real struggles, and as a passionate speaker, she inspires thousands worldwide to proactively tackle substance use and mental health challenges.

Dr. Mark Rohde
With decades of experience, Dr. Rohde specializes in individual, family, and group psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and families facing complex challenges. He holds Diplomat status with the American Board of Assessment Psychology and is certified in addictions treatment by the American College of Professional Psychology.
Educational Background
Dr. Mark Rohde is a summa cum laude graduate of Arizona State University and has pursued advanced studies at ASU, the University of Oxford, and the University of Northern Colorado as a Mott Foundation Fellow. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Union Graduate School/Union Institute and completed three additional years of training in family therapy.
Achievements & Impact
Recognized for his Distinguished Contributions to Psychology by the Arizona Psychological Association, where he also served on the Governing Council, Dr. Rohde is dedicated to empowering families and addressing the unique challenges of today’s youth, ensuring they have the tools and support to thrive.
